Resetting the Flat File Definition tool password

When you start FFD tool, you must specify a password. This password is used to secure log-in and connectivity passwords. The login will stay in effect while FFD tool is running.

To reset the password, follow this procedure:

  1. Select File > Reset password.
  2. On the tool security login, specify your new password. Confirm your password.
  3. After you reset the password, exit FFD tool for changes to take effect.

Password recovery is for administrator's or developer's use only. If you cancel or forgot your password, you cannot access FFD tool. When this happens, you must import the FlatFileGuiIni.xml file.
