Setting the M3 UI Adapter users

  1. In LifeCycle Manager, locate the M3 UI Adapter to configure.
  2. Right-click the M3 UI Adapter application > Configure Application.
  3. Click Edit Role Mappings.
  4. Click Edit to modify the defined roles for M3 UI Adapter. Take note of the difference between these users:

    • app-admin – this role grants access to M3 UI Adapter, Document Links Manager, Administration tools, and Start pages administration tool (including the Import/Export tool)

    • app-user – this role grants access to M3 UI Adapter

    • DebugUser – this role allows users to debug M3 programs with user specific view definitions. Users who are added to this role must also be enabled as debug users in BE. This user is only used if the Use Grid Proxy property is enabled.

    • StartPageAdministrator – this role grants access to Start pages administration tool (except the Import/Export tool)

  5. Click Save.
  6. The Save Configuration Changes dialog box shows a summary of the changes. Click Save to finalize all changes.
