Migrating old database settings to current Flat File Definition tool installation

If you need to use your database settings from a previous FFD installation, use this procedure to migrate to the current FFD installation.

  1. Access the installation folder of your previous FFD version.
  2. Copy the FlatFileGuiIni.xml file.
  3. Access the installation folder of your current FFD version.
  4. Paste the FlatFileGuiIni.xml file.
  5. Access FFD tool. On the tool security login, specify your username and password.
  6. Select File > Import Database.
  7. Select the FlatFileGuiIni.xml file and click Open.
  8. Select Append.
  9. Optionally, specify the new listed database with the new password, if needed.
  10. Save and exit the tool.
