Change to use 64-bits JVM for the entire M3 Environment

  1. Install the Java SE 64-bit on the IBM i server where Grid and M3 products run.

    Refer to the SW requirement information in the M3 Core Installation Planning Guide for the appropriate version.

  2. In LCM, register the new 64-bit JVM. Select Actions > Attach Product.
  3. Change the LifeCycle Manager Service to use the 64-bits JVM. For instructions, see chapter Changing JVM on IBM i in LifeCycle Manager Administration Guide.
  4. In LCM, right-click the Grid IBM i host and select Host Maintenance > Reconfigure Host.
  5. In the Reconfigure Host wizard, select the Java 64-bit entry.
  6. Click Next, and then Finish.
