Creating a new audit

Use this procedure to create a new audit.

  1. Open the FAT Manager. The M3 Field Audit Manager window is displayed.
  2. Select a system configuration in the drop-down list.
  3. Click New. The M3 New Audit window is displayed containing a list of files included in the selected system configuration.
  4. Browse for the file you want to audit. You can specify the criteria of the file in the Position field.
    Note:  You can also browse through the files by clicking the up and down arrows.
  5. Select the file and click Audit. The M3 New Audit for Field tab is displayed. All available fields in the selected file are displayed in alphabetical order.
  6. Select from the Non-audited field and move it to the Audited field column using the arrow button.
  7. Select the operations to be audited: insert, update, or delete. All three audit operations are selected by default.
  8. Click Activate and then click Save. The Audit window is displayed.
    Note: To save an activated audit, the environment must be set in maintenance mode. To save an audit without setting the environment in maintenance mode, the audit status must be inactive.
  9. Click Close.
