Subsystem runtime configuration

You can show and change rules for subsystem bindings with the Subsystem Runtime Configuration tool, labelled Binding Configuration. Binding rules are used, in order of appearance, to determine what subsystems to use to run jobs of specified job types, for specific users or system configurations.

A binding is a specification of how to start a JVM, or a subsystem, for a grid application. The subsystem bindings are defined in the grid application properties for the M3 Business Engine environment. For more information on bindings, and how to create them, see Rule-based distribution of M3 BE Grid environment.

When you add a new subsystem run configuration, you can decide whether a subsystem should always be active when the environment is started, or if the subsystem type should have a standby configuration. You can also specify a schedule for the subsystem run configuration.
