Changing maximum number of subsystems jobs and heap size

Each subsystem in an environment can have an individual maximum number of jobs. If you change the number of maximum jobs for a subsystem, you must also consider adjusting the heap size to maintain a reasonable ratio.

Property Example Value Name
Subsystem job limit 60 boot.subs.maxjob
Max Heap 128 grid.jvm.maxHeapMB

To change maximum number of jobs and heap size for a subsystem type

  1. Right-click your environment and select the task Configure Application>Edit Properties.
  2. Expand Application Defined Properties>Server ports and settings>Server basics.
  3. Click the property Subsystem job limit to view or adjust the value for each individual binding in the environment, displayed in a property context value matrix.
  4. Select All in Display Complexity to include subsystem types without assigned values in the display.

Adjust values for the individual subsystem types as required.

  5. Click Application Properties.
  6. Expand Grid Defined Properties>Node memory.
  7. Click the property Max Heap to view the value for each individual binding of subsystem type in the environment, displayed in a property context value matrix.
  8. Select All in Display Complexity to include subsystem types without assigned values in the display.
  9. Consider adjusting the Max Heap values corresponding to the new values for Subsystem job limit to maintain the ratio.
