Adding a private key to an external system configuration

You can add a keystore containing a private key, to authenticate the grid to the external system if this is supported or required by the external system. Please note that adding the keystore to the configuration does not create trust within the external system itself. The external system must already trust the added private key.

  1. Open the External Systems Management UI (see above).
  2. Click Configure external systems and select the tab of the external system.
  3. Click the Edit link next to the system name.
  4. If no private key store has been added to this system, click the Upload certificate link. The link is not available if the system already has a keystore uploaded. In that case the Remove certificate link is available instead.
  5. In the Import Private Key window, browse to the keystore file that contains the private key and specify the password for retrieving the private key from the keystore. Click Load keystore.
  6. A list of private key aliases is displayed. Select the alias that should be used. You can review the certificate chain for that alias by clicking View Certificates.
  7. Click Import Private Key to perform the keystore upload.
  8. Save the configuration.
