Relay Communication Configuration
Before users can start to access relay connections, relay users must be configured. For information about this, see the Infor ION Grid Security Administration Guide.
Setting up a Relay Connection
To configure a relay connection:
-
In the relay child grid (the on-premise grid in a cloud scenario), start the Grid Management Pages and start the Configuration Manager by clicking on the cog-wheel in the top right corner.
-
In the Configuration Manager main menu, click Communication.
-
Click on Relay Communication.
-
In the "Relay Parent for <grid name>" table click the "Add…" link.
-
Choose the relay connection type (peer only, peer chain, full access or no access).
-
Provide the FQDN and the HTTPS port of a router in the parent grid. This router must be set up to use client certificates for authenticating the SSL connection. If the router is not correctly set up, the connection status later in the relay set-up will be "BAD ENDPOINT".
-
In the relay parent grid, start the Configuration Manager.
-
In the Configuration Manager main menu click on Communication and select Relay Communication.
-
In the "Relay Child Connections" box, identify the grid you are setting up and click Approve to confirm the connection.
-
On the Issue Relay Certificate window, select the expiration date (default is 2 years from now). Select the desired relay connection type and click Issue.
-
Return to the relay child grid and refresh the Relay Communication page. The status of the relay connection should now be CONNECTED.
-
The relay connection is now set up.
Removing Relay Connections
To end a relay connection:

In the relay child grid, start the Configuration Manager and select Communication.
