Setting up a database connection
In PA tool, one database configuration must be present. Use this procedure to create new, configure existing, switch between databases, or remove an existing database connection.
- Select File > Database Settings.

On the Database settings window, click New.
The Create new database item window is displayed.
- Specify the information for the database settings and database communication channels.

Click Test to verify the
database connection.
If an error occurs, click show stack trace to show the database connection log. Verify your database connectivity to correct the error. Click OK to proceed.
- Click OK to save the new setting.
- Click OK to finish and go back to the Database settings window.

Select a configuration from the list and click Use.
An asterisk is displayed under the column "Use" to indicate a database in use.

Optionally, you can edit a database connection settings.
To edit, select a configuration from the list and click Edit. In the Edit existing database item window, specify updated field values.
To verify the connection of your database, click Test. If an error occurs, click show stack trace to show the database connection log. Check your database connectivity to correct the error. Click OK to proceed.

Optionally, you can remove a database connection.
Note: Delete has no undo function. Verify the version and name of a database before you invoke delete. You cannot disconnect a database setting that is in use.
To delete, you select a database connection and click Delete. Then, click Yes to confirm the action.
- Close and exit.
