SNA Send

Sends a message using the LU6.2/SNA communication protocol. For more information, see the SNA Examples section in Infor Enterprise Collaborator Administration Guide.

SNA Send

  1. Click the Processes tab. Right-click on a blank space in the Selected processes pane, select SNA Send .
  2. On the Configuration for SNA Send window, specify the LU6.2 Conversation Characteristics:
    Partner LU name

    Specify the Partner LU Name to use.

    Mode Name

    Specify a model name to use.

    Transaction Program

    Specify a transaction program name.

    Name

    Specify a name to use

  3. Select a synchronization level.
  4. Select a security type.
  5. Specify a user name and password to connect to CAT/SNA.
  6. Select your response and retry options.
    • Select Has response to receive a message response based on your requested data.

    • Select Automatic retry to retry sending only if error code 17 occurs (CM_DEALLOCATED_ABEND).

  7. Specify a Run On Host (expression) to use, for example "cfs".

    Where "cfs" refers to the central file system where EC_Central node is located.

    Note

    EC runs on different hosts. Ensure that RunOnHost field has a value.

  8. Click Add to set the Prepended Record Layout in the right pane.
    1. On the Field Details window, define the name, length, and value.
    2. Save.
  9. Click OK and save.
