Authenticate SFTPollin with private key

You can use SFTP for private key authentications in IEC. When IEC connects with the SFTP server, it will use the private key for authentication. Follow these steps to specify the directory of the private key.

Note: You need to update the JDE policy and remove the old policies to allow for the use of passphrases.
  1. Click Manage > Communication > Receive.
  2. Select an existing SFTPPollin channel and click Edit. Click New to create a SFTPollin channel, if none exists.
  3. Specify the user in the User field.
  4. Click the PrivateKeyFile drop-down menu and select a private key. Alternatively, you can specify the file path of the private key in the file system.
    Selecting the private key by specifying the file path can create security issues. Specifying the file path is allowed for backwards compatibility and may be deprecated in future releases.
  5. Click OK.
