Configuring Java version in LCM Client
If you are using Java 7 and you encounter a Java compiler error, you must check your Java configuration in LCM Client and use JDK 8 version.
Java compiler errors include these examples:
- Received fatal alert: handshake_failure: error, check that you are running a JDK.
- Unable to get the system Java compiler, check that you are running a JDK.
Note: These steps are not
directly related to MEC. They are applicable to all apps in Grid.
- Log on to LCM Client.
- Click the Host tab.
- Look for the host from where the MEC resides.
- Right-click on Host and click .
- Look for the Java product.
- Add your new Java installation path, which should be a JDK 8 version.
- Follow the succeeding instructions.
- Once completed, locate the MEC application.
- Right-click on the MEC application and select .
- Select the hosts from where the MEC is installed.
- Click and select the JDK 8 version that was added in step 6.
- Complete the reconfiguration.
- Restart MEC and verify if the JDK 8 version is used.
