Server connectivity tasks
Set one or several server connections to be able to save, remove, generate and publish a mapping to a Mapper Server, and also to import a mapping from a Mapper Server.
Do these tasks from the Server Connectivity page.

Edit an existing server connection
- Select a server connection to modify and click Edit.
- On the New window, update the field values and click OK.
- Verify that the new connection is listed under the Configured server locations.

Remove a server connection
- Select a server connection to disconnect and click Remove.
- Verify that the removed connection is no longer listed under the Configured server locations.

Set a default connection

Select a server connection and click Make Default.
- Verify that the connection is listed as the Default location.

Select a server connection and click Make Default.

Copy a server connection

Select a server connection and click Copy.
The selected server connection is copied.
- Verify that a new connection with " - Copy" appended to the name is listed under the Configured server locations.Operations requiring a server connection, for example "Publish", will use this as default.

Copy to clipboard
Operations requiring a server connection, for example "Publish",This option copies the values of a connection to the system clipboard.
Use this to paste the information into a mail or similar method when you need to share information.
Note:If Show Passwords As Clear Text is enabled on the Mapper preference page, the connection password is also copied in clear text. Remember to delete the connection password from the email and others, if needed.
If Show Passwords As Clear Text is disabled, the string ****** is copied instead of the connection password.

Test a connection
This option will verify the connection to the Mapper Server. The version of the Mapper Server is shown.
