Set the Folder Structure Message Distribution

  1. On the EC Configuration page, click the Edit Properties link.
  2. In the Application Defined Properties list, scroll down to the MEC Folder Structure Message Distribution group and expand the view.
  3. To set the Archiver property values, click the value link across the property to update.
  4. On the Edit Property window, specify a new value.

    Use these guidelines:

    Property Description
    DocArchiver.Level

    Specify an integer value type. Specify a value between 1-8 based on UUID.

    Default data is 2.

    Message/Files are distributed based on FileName/UUID {0...f}. It includes archive(DocArchiver.Path) and persistence(DocPersistor.Path) folder distribution. This value indicates 16{0...f} raised to n levels files will be split/distributed. See these examples:

    flat/tree level 1="0"

    flat level 2="00"

    tree level 2="0"/"0"

    Note: 

    Folders are not automatically moved or deleted when changing this configuration. Processing may take a while for several archive files.

    Follow these instructions:

    1. Back up the backup archive with "Remove files from archive after backup"

    2. Change the application property as desired.

    3. Restart IEC application.

    4. Backup restore the archived zip file to move the messages in their corresponding folders.
    DocArchiver.IsTree

    Specify a Boolean value type.

    Depending on the DocArchiver.Level property, this value indicated whether the structure of the folder will be flat (00) or tree (0/0) level.
  5. Click Update Property.
  6. Save the changes.
