Upgrading Flat File Definition tool

To run a previous version of the PA tool, you must create a back-up of the previous version before you install the current version.

  1. Launch the FlatFileDefTool<version>.msi file.

    The setup window is displayed.

  2. Select to remove the installed Flat File Definition tool, then click Next.

    Preferences stored in the registry are reset to default values but the database settings are not changed.

  3. Launch the FlatFileDefTool<version>.msi file again to install a Flat File Definition tool.

    The setup window is displayed.

  4. Select to install the Flat File Definition tool, then click Next.
  5. Click Next to accept the default destination folder for this installation.
  6. Optionally, you can browse to another folder location for this installation and click OK.
  7. Click Next to start the installation wizard.
  8. Click Finish to complete the installation and close the Setup program.
