Attach a new Java version

Make sure that a correct JVM version is installed on your platform. See information about system requirements in M3 Core Installation Planning Guide.

  1. Select Actions > Attach Product.
  2. Select Java.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Select the server for where to attach the new Java version.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Specify this information:
    Name

    Specify the name of the java version. For example, Java 17.

    Description

    Specify a description.

    Installation Path

    Select the path to your JDK installation. For example:

    Windows: E:\jdk17.0.11_9

    IBMi: /QOpenSys/QIBM/ProdData/JavaVM/jdk17/64bit

  7. Click Next.
  8. Verify the information and click Finish.
  9. When the task is finished, a window is displayed. Click OK or click View log.
