Uploading StringReplacer definitions

Before you can upload StringReplacer definitions, you must have a saved xml file containing the definitions.

  1. From the PA menu, select Manage > StringReplacer Definitions.
  2. Click New.
  3. Specify a descriptive name and brief description.
  4. Click Select Definition.
  5. Select the xml file containing the definitions to upload. Click Open.
  6. Click OK.

    Optionally, perform these tasks:

  7. To change an uploaded definition file:
    1. Select the definition.
    2. Click Edit. Perform any of these tasks:

      • Update the Name and Description fields.

      • Select another xml file to replace this definition.

    3. Click OK.
  8. To view the details of a definition file.
    1. Select the definition.
    2. Click View Definition.

      The StringReplacer Definition window is displayed. It shows the xml details of the definition file. You create definitions in an external xml editor.

    3. Close the window.
  9. To remove from the list an uploaded definition file:
    1. Select the definition.
    2. Click Delete.
    3. At the prompts, confirm to delete.
  10. Click Close and exit the tool.
