Rule editor panel
The rule editor shows these icons: Save, Refresh, Delete, Duplicate, Validate, Activate/Reactivate, and Deactivate. It also consists of these tabs: General Information, Subscribed Event, Filtering, Published Event, and Fields.

Save | Saves the changes made in the rule editor. When clicked, the Notification is updated stating that the rule is saved successfully. |
Refresh | Refreshes the rule to reflect the latest updates from the server. |
Delete | Deletes a rule. Note: This icon is enabled for an inactive rule and
disabled for an active rule.

Duplicate | Duplicates the selected rule. |
Validate | Validates the rule. When clicked, the Notification is updated with the validation status. Note: You can validate a rule that is not yet
saved.

Activate | Activates a valid rule that is currently Inactive. Note: You can activate multiple inactive rules at once by clicking
. All inactive rules are listed, with the
current rule selected. You can select one or more inactive rules
to activate at the same time. You can use the multi-select check
box in the rule list header to select or clear all inactive
rules.

Re-activate | Reactivates a valid rule that is currently Active. Note: You can reactivate multiple active rules at once
by clicking . All active rules are listed, with the
current rule selected. You can select one or more active rules
to reactivate at the same time. You can use the multi-select
check box in the rule list header to select or clear all active
rules. You can also reactivate multiple modified rules under one
session by restarting the session instead of reactivating the
rules.

Deactivate | Deactivates an active rule. Note: You can deactivate multiple active rules
at once by clicking . All active rules are listed,
with the current rule selected. You can select one or more
active rules to deactivate at the same time. You can use the
multi-select check box in the rule list header to select or
clear all active rules.

Note: When activating, reactivating, or
deactivating multiple rules simultaneously, the session is restarted only once to save
time compared to activating, reactivating, or deactivating them individually.
Notifications about activated, reactivated, or deactivated rules are displayed in the
Notification area for the individual rules. The notification for the restarted session
is displayed for the current rule.
The position of the vertical splitter between the session tree and the editor panel is retained from the previous session.
