Invoicing
Requirement
In Tanzania the following information must be provided on an invoice
- VAT registration number
- Name, address, and VAT registration number
- Customer’s name and address
- Type of supply
- A description of the supplied goods and services
- Quantity of goods or extent of services
- Rate of VAT
- Rate of any offered cash discount
- Total VAT payable
In general, a tax invoice must be issued in Tanzania dollars. If an invoice is issued in a foreign currency, the Tanzania dollar (NAD) equivalent must be determined using the appropriate exchange rate on the date on which the invoice is issued and must be reflected on the tax invoice.
M3 solution
Invoicing is probably the function in M3 that is most affected by localization rules. The requirements for this country are supported by various invoicing features in M3.
