Format of bank account numbers
Requirement
Countries and banks have different structures for bank account numbers.
A beneficiary account number can be used for domestic payments. The number is usually numeric and ten digits long.
For international payments, the BIC code is used by the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT).
The IBAN is not used in Singapore.
