Accounts payable balance report
Requirement
The provision of a trial balance report over accounts payable balances, by an accounting system, is commonly required.
In this country, no specific layout is required by law for printing balances out of the accounts payable ledger. Internal financial control practices include reconciling a balance in the general ledger with the supplier details from the accounts payable ledger.

The Accounts Payable report shows this information for each supplier:
- Opening balance
- Period balance
- Closing balance
A specific report shows this information per debit and credit:
- Opening balance
- Period balance
- Period movements
- Closing balance
