Format of bank account numbers
Requirement
Countries and banks have different structures for bank account numbers.
IBAN – has the format PTxx xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx
BBAN & SWIFT/BIC – have the format XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX-XX (4-4-11-2 chars) as bank, branch identifier, account number and key.

The formats in this country for domestic and international bank accounts are supported by M3.
General configuration guidelines

Domestic bank account number |
Numeric, 21 digits long. Example: 2100 0418 45 0200051332 Normally, separators and blanks are not inserted in electronic messages. |
BBAN (basic bank account number) |
Numeric, 21 digits long. Example: (4-4-11-2 chars) The first four digits are used for the bank identifier. The next four digits are used for the branch identifier. |
IBAN (international bank account number) |
Alphanumeric, 25 characters long. Example: PT91 2100 0418 4502 0005 1332 The first two characters are used for the country code. The next two digits are used for the check digit. |
