Format of bank account numbers
Requirement
Countries and banks have different structures for bank account numbers.
M3 solution
The formats applicable in Israel for domestic, European, and non-European bank account numbers are supported by M3. The creation of output files to automate payments is also supported by M3.
General configuration guidelines
Format | Example |

Domestic bank account number |
Alphanumeric, 15 characters long. Example: 0123456789012346 For the example above, the bank code is 012, the branch code is 345, and the account number is 678901234. In general, separators and blanks are not inserted in electronic messages. |
BBAN (basic bank account number) |
Alphanumeric, 16 characters long. Example: 010012345678901 The first four characters are used for the four-digit bank code. The next four characters are used for the three-digit branch code. The last nine characters are used for the nine-digit account number. |
IBAN (international bank account number) |
Alphanumeric, 23 characters long. Example: IL010012345678901 The first two characters are used for the country code. The next four digits are used for the check digit. The last ones are used for the account number. |
