Accounts receivable balance report
Requirement
The provision of a trial balance report over accounts receivable balances, by an accounting system, is commonly required.
In this country, no specific layout is required by law for printing balances out of the accounts receivable ledger. Internal financial control practices include reconciling a balance in the general ledger with the customer details from the accounts receivable ledger.
A normal layout shows all open invoices, credits, and on
account payments at a certain date.
M3 solution
For this purpose, the Accounts Receivable report shows this information for each customer:
- Opening balance
- Period balance
- Closing balance
A specific report shows this information per debit and credit:
- Opening balance
- Period balance
- Period movements
- Closing balance
