Format of bank account numbers
Requirement
Countries and banks have different structures for bank account numbers.
M3 solution
The formats in this country for domestic and international bank accounts are supported by M3.
General configuration guidelines
Format | Example |

Domestic bank account number |
Numeric, 12 digits long. Example: 539-0075470-34 The first three positions are used for the bank identifier, and the last two positions for the check digits. Normally, separators and blanks are not inserted in electronic messages. |
BBAN (basic bank account number) |
Numeric, 12 digits long. Example: 539007547034 The first three positions are used for the bank identifier, and the last two positions for the check digits. |
IBAN (international bank account number) | Alphanumeric, 16 digits long. Example: BE68539007547034 |
