Format of bank account numbers
Requirement
Countries and banks have different structures for bank account numbers.
M3 solution
The formats in this country for domestic and international bank accounts are supported by M3.
General configuration guidelines
Format | Example |

Domestic bank account number |
Numeric, 16 digits long. Example: 1234567890123456 Normally, separators and blanks are not inserted in electronic messages. |
BBAN (basic bank account number) |
Numeric, 19 digits long. Example: 0331234567890123456 The first three positions are used for the bank identifier. |
IBAN (international bank account number) | Alphanumeric, 23 characters long. Example: AE070331234567890123456 |
