Duplicate Item Detection

Use Duplicate Item Detection to identify potential duplicate item records. Duplicate Item Detection compares item data against existing item records and returns potential matches.

To check whether a item already exists, submit the item data and specify:

  • A minimum similarity threshold
  • The number of results to return (Top K)

Duplicate Item Detection compares the submitted record with existing item records and returns:

  • Potential matches
  • Similarity scores
  • Matching attributes

You can use the results to determine whether a item record already exists before you create or maintain item data.

Potential duplicate item records are evaluated using these key attributes:

  • Item name
  • Item type
  • Basic UoM
  • Status
  • Description 2
  • Item group
  • Product group
  • Length-Width-Height
