Submitting a request

You can submit a request for the customer account creation through the Infor OS Portal.

  1. Open the Customer Account Request - Enhancement workspace.

    See Infor OS User and Administration Library (Cloud) and navigate to User > OS Portal > Using workspaces.

  2. In the Start Customer Account Creation widget, click Start Workflow.
  3. Select M3_CustomerCreationRequest_Enhancement in the Select Workflow field.
  4. Specify this information:
    Note: The Workflow Instance Name and Workflow Instance Description fields are automatically filled with values from the selected workflow.
    CustomerName
    Provide the customer name. For example, Acme Corp.
    DocumentSharepointLink
    Provide a URL where to access the document. For example, https://yourcompany.com/ RequestDocument_Acme_Corp.docx.
    Phone number
    Provide the contact detail of the customer. For example, +1 (505) 842-5662 which includes the country code.
    Use_Enhanced_Version
    If you specify True, AI-powered duplicate detection, and compliance checking are enabled. If you specify False, the workflow operates in the original legacy mode.
  5. Click Start.
  6. To specify additional information, follow these steps:
    1. On the Task List widget, open the task that is generated after the process starts.
    2. Specify the additional information, such as the address, postal code, and country code.
    3. Click Done.
    Tip: If you don't want to use the workspace, you can start and track workflows by adding the Start Workflows and Task List widgets to a new Insight Group.

Tracking a request

After you submit a request for the customer account creation, you can use the Workflow Viewer widget to see where the request is in the process. You can also identify who is currently responsible for each activity and track the progress until the request is completed.

  1. In the Start Customer Account Creation widget, select your request.
  2. Click Show in Workflow viewer to open the workflow in the Workflow Viewer widget.
  3. View the status and assigned user in the displayed activity.
