Configuration

Some tasks are required to manage the configuration for the workflows.

Approval matrix

You can adjust the M3CustomerCreationRequest_ApprovalMatrix in ION Business rules, where adding, changing, and removing distribution groups or specific users are enabled.

ION workflow configuration

To control how workflow tasks are assigned or how email notifications are generated, use the ION Configuration in ION Service.

Enhanced feature configuration

The configuration settings become available when the workflow starts. As an administrator, you can update the default values by navigating to ION > Monitors & Workflows > Workflows. Open the M3_CustomerCreationRequest_Enhancement workflow, and then select Workflow Properties. On the Parameters tab, you can modify the default values for the workflow parameters.

This table describes the workflow variables that control the enhanced features:

Use_Enhanced_Version	Boolean	False	Specify True to enable the enhanced workflow, including AI-powered duplicate detection and compliance checking. Specify False to use the legacy workflow behavior.
ActivateCustomerDuplicateDetection	Boolean	True	Specify True to enable Customer Duplicate Detection (CDD), which checks for similar customer records and routes potential duplicates for review. Specify False to skip duplicate detection.
ActivateCustomerComplianceCheck	Boolean	True	Specify True to enable Customer Compliance Check (CCC), which screens customers against compliance and sanctions lists. Specify False to skip compliance checking.
Duplicate_Similarity_Threshold	String	0.01	Specify the minimum similarity score required for CDD to flag potential duplicates. Results below this value are ignored. Increase the value to reduce false positives. For example, specify 0.50 to require a minimum 50% match before a record is flagged for review. Because CDD includes a human review step, a lower threshold is generally safer.
Compliance_Similarity_Threshold	String	0.01	Specify the minimum similarity score required for CCC to trigger automatic rejection. Modify this value with extreme caution. Increasing the threshold may allow sanctioned entities to pass the check, while decreasing it may increase false-positive rejections. Because CCC performs automatic rejection, this value acts as a critical compliance gate.
Customer_Template	String	Z00001	Specify the customer template number used in your M3 CRS610MI/Add program. If no value is specified, the workflow falls back to manual customer creation.
