Data Grid component
The Data Grid component displays records in a table. Use it when users need to view many records at once, compare values across columns, sort and filter the result set, select one or multiple rows, and take actions on selected records.
Data Grid overview
The Data Grid component presents output fields from a connected data service as rows and columns. It is designed for scenarios where users need a structured list view with more detail than an index list can provide. Data grids are often used as the main list component in an application, but they can also be used together with an index list, form, chart, dialogs, and links.
Depending on the configuration, a data grid can support search, filter and select fields, column header filtering and sorting, row selection, export, conditional styling, drag and drop, and toolbar actions. The component can load data directly from a data service on application load, or it can react to interactions from other components. For example, a data grid can show open orders for the customer selected in an index list, item balances for the selected warehouse, or transactions returned by a search.
