Configuring a Data Grid
The Data Grid component is one of the most flexible components in Experience Designer. This component is especially useful when users need to compare records, work with large result sets, select rows for follow-up actions, or refine what is shown by using search and filter.
Adding a Data Grid component
- Click the icon in the editor and click .
- Click .
- Specify a name in the Component ID.
- In the General Settings tab, specify the value in the Component heading field or leave it blank.
- Click .
Connecting a data service
- Click to open the Data Grid Configuration dialog box.
- Click the Operations tab and select a data service for the Read operation.
- Click .
Adding an interaction
- In the Data Grid Configuration dialog box, click the Interactions tab and click .
- Select the source, source component if applicable, event, and operation, such as Read.
- Click .
Configuring columns
- in the Data Grid Configuration dialog box, click the Properties tab.
- To add fields to display as columns, click .
- In the Select fields dialog, select the fields to add. You can select multiple fields at the same time.
- Click .
- Click .
Review added columns
Now that the columns are now added, validate the added fields, go to the Columns tab. Each column is listed with the corresponding field ID and transaction in parentheses, for example, PUNO (List_POHead).
To configure a column, click the which is pen icon for that column. See Additional features and settings for both available column, and data grid, settings.
