Text dialog component

Text dialog is a dialog type for viewing and managing M3 text blocks directly in an Experience Designer application. Use it when users need to view or maintain text, pre-text, or post-text for a selected M3 record without leaving the application.

Text dialog overview

Use the Text dialog to display or maintain M3 texts for customers, items, orders, suppliers, projects, or other M3 records in an Experience Designer application.

Configure Text dialogs differently from most components. Do not connect a Text dialog to a data service because data retrieval is built in. Configure the input parameters and related settings on the Text Parameters tab in the Text dialog configuration.

APIs used by the Text dialog

The Text dialog uses built-in API calls to retrieve, list, create, update, and delete M3 text blocks. The component primarily uses CRS980MI for handling text blocks. The input values come from the Text Parameters tab in the configuration for the Text dialog.

`GetTextID`	Retrieves the text ID for the selected record and text type.
`SetTextID`	Updates or sets the text ID on the source record.
`LstTxtBlocks`	Lists text blocks for a text ID.
`SltTxtBlock`	Selects or lists lines within a specific text block.
`DltTxtBlockLins`	Deletes all lines in a text block.
`AddTxtBlockHead`	Creates the header for a new text block.
`AddTxtBlockLine`	Adds individual lines to a text block.
`RtvNewTextID`	Generates a new text ID.
