Log Configuration
The Log Configuration page shows the loggers that are registered on the Enterprise Collaborator grid nodes and the log level of each logger. You can set the level of the root logger, set the same level for all loggers, or set the level of individual loggers. Changes are applied to all grid nodes.
Log levels
This table shows the available log levels:
| Log level | Description |
|---|---|
| FATAL | Only severe errors that stop processing are logged. |
| ERROR | Errors are logged. |
| WARN | Errors and potentially harmful situations are logged. |
| INFO | Informational messages about normal processing are logged, in addition to warnings and errors. This is the default level. |
| DEBUG | Detailed diagnostic information is logged. |
| DIAG | Mapping diagnostic information is logged. |
Note: You cannot set the DEBUG and DIAG levels as the root level or as the level for all loggers because doing so generates excessive logging and affects server performance. Set these levels for individual loggers only.
Log Configuration fields
This table shows the fields and actions on the Log Configuration page:
| Field or action | Description |
|---|---|
| Root Level | The level of the root logger. Select INFO, WARN, ERROR, or FATAL. |
| Apply Root Level | Apply the selected root level to all grid nodes. |
| All Loggers Level | The level to apply to every logger. Select INFO, WARN, ERROR, or FATAL. |
| Apply All Loggers | Apply the selected level to every logger and reloads the logger list. |
| Reset to Default | Return the Root Level and All Loggers Level fields to INFO. |
| Apply Selected | Apply the level changes that you made in the grid to the selected loggers. This action is displayed when at least one logger is selected. |
| Refresh | Reload the logger list from the server. Level changes that are not applied are discarded. |
All Loggers grid
The All Loggers section lists every logger that is registered on the server. The number of loggers that is currently listed is displayed above the grid.
This table shows the columns of the grid:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| (selection) | Select the check box of each logger to change. |
| Logger Name | The name of the logger. |
| Level | The current log level of the logger. Click the cell to select another level. |
Note: The grid is paged. Column filters are applied to the complete logger list, not only to the loggers that are displayed on the current page.
