M3 Information Editor

Use this widget to edit existing data in M3.

You can also integrate this widget with Infor Go to use its scan functionality.

Prerequisite

As a prerequisite to Infor Go, you must install and configure the application in your mobile devices. To know the installation and configuration setup, see Infor Go for Android and iOS in the Infor OS User and Administration Documentation Library (Cloud).

When you have configured the widget and the Infor Go application, you can click the camera icon to scan either QR codes or bar codes for these purposes:
  • To populate a Filter List text box and perform a filter based on the string read by the scanning. For example, if the value of the QR code is 1234567890, the Filter List filters all rows with fields containing the same value.
  • To populate field values when editing a selected record.

For the field values to be populated, you must follow this format: { "FieldId1": "FieldValue1", "FieldId2": "FieldValue2" }.

Configuring the widget

Use this configuration to use basic API transactions for updating data.

  1. Click Configure Widget.
  2. Specify this information:
    Title
Click unlock button and specify a widget title.
    Automatic Refresh Rate
Select a refresh rate minute interval from the list.
  3. Specify this information:
    Program
Click the look-up button in this required field. Search for an M3 program, for example CRS610, and provide a description to filter the results. Click a record from the programs list and click Select.

Click the look-up button in this required field. You can search for a transaction, for example SearchCustomer, and provide a description to filter the results. Click a record from the transactions list and click Select.
    Input
    Click the look-up button.
On the data grid, you can perform these tasks:
    • Select Input to identify the input fields to be submitted to the API transaction.
    • Change the input field's value in the Value column.
    • Optionally, specify an entity type to require the widget to retrieve business context messages, for example, InforCustomerPartyMaster. And then specify an input in the Value field that uses the entity type enclosed in a bracket. This example shows the format: {InforCustomerPartyMaster}. The same input is reflected in the Id1 context message which you can use as an input field to run the API request.
Note: Other supported macros are used in the Value field.

See Supported macros for the input field in this document.

    Output
Click the look-up button in this required field.
On the datagrid, you can perform these tasks:
    • Select Output to identify the output fields to be submitted for the API transaction.
    • Specify a value under the View Order column to specify the order of the output fields for display, for example CUNO;CUNM;STAT;CUCL.
    • Change the display labels of columns through the Modify Description functionality. You can also specify a translation for the new label. For the translated label to reflect, you must set the equivalent language in the user settings of Infor OS.

On the data grid, you can perform these tasks:
    • Select Input to identify input fields to be submitted to the API transaction.
