Configuring the Move to Location widget

  1. Click Configure Widget.
  2. Specify this information:
    Title
    Optionally, click the unlock button and specify a new widget title.
    Warehouses

    Select the warehouse that the widget uses for inventory transfers. When you open the configuration form, the widget automatically selects a warehouse based on your user context.

    If you have an assigned warehouse, that warehouse is selected by default. Your assigned warehouse takes precedence over the division's main warehouse.

    If you don't have an assigned warehouse, the division's main warehouse is selected.

    You can change the selected warehouse at any time. No special permissions are required to change or override the warehouse selection.

  3. Click Save.

Transferring a product to a new location

  1. In the Move to Location widget, specify this information:
    Item Number
    Specify an item number. As you specify the value, matching item numbers are displayed in this format: Item Number - Item Description. You can select one from the list.

    Optionally, retrieve an item number from the Item Details widget or from Infor M3.

    Lot Number
    Optionally, specify a lot number for lot-controlled items. As you specify the value, matching lot numbers are displayed. You can select one from the list.

    You can click Check Location without specifying a lot number. However, before you can move a lot-controlled item, you must select a valid lot number.

  2. To retrieve the available locations for the selected item in the selected warehouse, click Check Location.
  3. Specify this information:
    Lot Number
    For lot-controlled items, specify the lot number if it was not specified initially. If you specified an invalid lot number, the field becomes empty and you're prompted to select a valid lot number.

    If you specified a valid lot number before clicking Check Location, the value is filled automatically.

    This field is only available for lot-controlled items.

    Current Location
    Select the current location within the warehouse. If only one location is available, the value is filled automatically. When you select a different location, the available quantity is refreshed.
    New Location
    Specify the new location within the warehouse.
    Quantity
    The available quantity for the selected location is displayed. To adjust, use the plus or minus buttons, or specify a valid quantity. The minus button is not available if the quantity is 1.
  4. To move the product to the new location, click Save.
