Widget configuration

You can configure the widget to define the data source, parameters, display settings, and navigation options. Configure the widget properties and API details, including the program, transaction, input fields, and output fields, and select how the widget displays data. The widget can display data as a list or graph and can include user actions.

Depending on your requirements, you can use these related procedures:
Topic Description
Configuring a bookmark Use this procedure to create your own bookmark that opens a specific M3 program and query from the widget. You can apply this action when you use the Bookmark Options field. Bookmarks simplify navigation by providing quick access to frequently used M3 records and programs.
Supported macros for the input field Use this information to be familiar with the dynamic way of populating input values using entity, location, date, or user context information, reducing manual input. This is helpful in the Value field when specifying API information.
Enabling bookmark in a record Use this procedure to enable users to open related M3 records directly from widget results for faster navigation. You can apply this action when you identify the output fields for the widget.
Chart types Use this information when you configure a graph for the widget and help determine the most effective way to visualize and analyze data based on business requirements.
Configuring a graph Use this procedure when you set the Display content as field and select the graph option. This helps define how data is presented in a graphical format, including chart settings, grouping options, and drilldown behavior for deeper analysis.
Adding an API action Use this procedure to configure an API to create additional action for a specific record.
