Application configuration

An application consists of different components such as an index list, header, forms, data grid, tabs, and media. You must first connect each component to a data service before you can fully configure the components of an application using Experience Designer.

Sometimes, input from a component is required before you can configure the data services. Therefore, we recommend that you start the application configuration by creating components and arranging them on the application. Then, give each component a component ID. See Naming recommendation for components. Save the changes and create the data services. After that, you can go back to the components to complete the configuration.
