Adding a new group

A message can contain any number of groups and records. You can add new groups in an existing flat file definition.

Note: You cannot make groups on the top level and sibling groups into child groups. You cannot promote child groups to a higher level group.
  1. Right-click on the Message component in the Flat File Definition pane and select New Child > Group.
  2. Verify that the new group is added correctly.
