Adding a new record

A message can contain any number of groups and records. You can add a new record in an existing flat file definition.

Note: You cannot make top level and sibling records into child records of a group. You cannot promote child records to a higher level record. You can move a child record from one group to another group.
  1. Right-click on the Message or Group component in the Flat File Definition pane and select New Child > Record.
  2. Verify that the new record is added correctly.
