Creating a rental quotation from an activity record

You must create an activity before you create a quotation for an activity.

When setting default values, see the Infor M3 Customer LifeCycle Management User and Administration Library (Cloud) and select Administrator > M3 CLM Administration > M3 BE integration > Standard integration > Setting up quotations > Configuring rental quotation settings > Setting default values for rental quotation.

  1. Create or open an activity that matches the activity type set in M3 Mobility Core.

    Contact your system administrator if you do not know the activity type to select when creating a rental quotation.

  2. Click Create Rental Quote.

    Create Rental Quote button is available when M3 bookmark - H5 and Field to use for quote number in M3 Mobility Core is defined.

  3. Specify this information:
    Rental Agreement Order Type
    Select from the list of order types. The initial value is set from the defined Rental agreement order type in M3 Mobility Core Toolbox.
    Rental Depot
    Select from the list of depots.The initial value is set from the defined Rental depot in M3 Mobility Core Toolbox.
    Facility
    Select from the list of facilities. The initial value is set from the user's facility set in M3, MNS150.
    Valid From
    Select the date when the quotation is created. The initial value is set to the current date.
    Valid To
    Select the date when the validity of the quote expires. The value is calculated with the defined Quotation validity in days in M3 Mobility Core Toolbox.
    Contact
    You can select a maximum of two (2) contacts.
    The contacts that are defined here are the values of the Your Ref 1 and Your Ref 2 fields in the quotation. If no contact is associated, then the default Your Ref 1 and Your Ref 2 of the account is used on the quotation.
    Sales Person
    Select a sales person. This is the sales person who is responsible for the quotation.
    Sales person is limited to showing CRM users with Sales person identifier.
    Forecasting
    Select whether to set the value of the Total Price of the quotation to the value of the field as set for the opportunity record.
    Follow Up 1 Activity

    Select an activity from the follow-up activities list for this quote. The initial value is set from the defined Follow up activity 1 in M3 Mobility Core Toolbox.

    Follow Up 1 Date
    Select the date that the first follow-up activity is made. The value is calculated with the defined Days before expiration date (Follow up activity 1) in M3 Mobility Core Toolbox.
    Follow Up 2 Activity

    Select an activity from the follow-up activities list for this quote. The initial value is set from the defined Follow up activity 2 in M3 Mobility Core Toolbox.

    Follow Up 2 Date
    Select the date that the second follow-up activity is made. The value is calculated with the defined Days before expiration date (Follow up activity 2) in M3 Mobility Core Toolbox.
  4. Click Create quote. Rental Agreement mashup is displayed as a new tab in M3 CLM.
  5. Complete the transaction in this page. Defined Project Number and Project Element in M3 BE is displayed in M3 CLM.
  6. Follow-up activities are created.

    If Activity record is associated to an Opportunity, see Associating an opportunity.

    The opportunity record is displayed with these details:
    • Rental Quotation details is populated on the Rental Quotes tab of opportunity record.
    • Quotation Total is displayed in the Opportunity Total field depending on the quotation status configured by the system administrator.
    • If configured, the Order total is populated in the specified field when the Quotation record is changed to an order.
