Field types and input methods
In the Define search criteria modal, you can specify field types and input methods. The modal presents different input controls based on the field type:

Specify text to match the field value. Example: Account name, Description |
| Select | Select a value from the predefined options.
Example: Account group |

Use a dropdown list with these options: Blank (No criterion applied, Yes (True), or No (False). Example: Active flag, Completed status |
| Date |
Use date picker controls. The placeholder shows the user date format, for example, mm/dd/yyyy. Select a comparison operator. When you select Between operator, a date picker is displayed where you have to select two dates to define the date range. The date picker adjusts automatically if the start date is later than the end date. Example: Created date, Start date, end date |
Error handling applies to date fields. If you enter an invalid date, the and button is disabled until you correct the error.
