Maintaining a general object

Adding a related general object

Before creating a relationship between two or more general objects, ensure that there are at least two or more general objects available.
  1. Select My Objects > All.
  2. Open an object.
  3. Select Related General Object.
    You can also add a related general object in the relationship tree. Just select a related object from the relationship tree and proceed with the next steps.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Click Search.
  6. Select an object record and click Select.
  7. Specify the other details.
  8. Click Save.

Updating a related object

  1. Select My Objects > All.
  2. Open an object.
  3. Select Related General Object.
  4. Select an object from the relationship tree and click View.
  5. Update the dates or the general object relations.
  6. Click Save.

Deleting a related general object

  1. Select My Objects > All.
  2. Select an object.
  3. Select Related General Object.
  4. Select an object from the relationship tree and click Remove.

Adding interest codes for a general object

  1. Open an object.
  2. Go to Interest Code.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Select an interest code through any of these options:
    • Search for an interest code by specifying the keywords in the Search field.
    • Browse for an interest code by expanding the interest groups.
  5. Select the interest code.
  6. Click Apply.

    Once the selected interest code is added, the Add button changes to Edit.

Updating interest codes for a general object

  1. Open an object.
  2. Go to Interest Code.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Select an interest code on the modal screen.
  5. Click Apply.

Removing interest codes for a general object

  1. Open an object.
  2. Go to Interest Code.
  3. Select an interest code from the list.
  4. Click Remove.
  5. Click Delete.
  6. Optionally, you can also click Edit and unselect an interest code on the modal screen to delete an interest code. And then, click Apply.

Adding an object-to-activity relationship

Object-to-activity relationship is not included on the default Object dialog design.
  1. Open a object.
  2. Click Search icon on the General Object-Activity Relation field.
  3. Search or select an activity from the list and click Relate Activity.
  4. The selected activity name is populated on the General Object-Activity Relation field.

Deleting an object-to-activity relationship

  1. Open an object.
  2. Click the More icon on the General Object-Activity Relation field.
  3. Click Remove relation.
  4. Click Remove when asked to confirm action.

Adding an object-to-project relationship

Object-to-project relationship is not included on the default Object dialog design.

  1. Open an object.
  2. Click Search icon on the General Object-Project Relation field.
  3. Search or select a project from the list and click Relate Project.
  4. The selected project name is populated on the General Object-Project Relation field.

Deleting an object-to-project relationship

  1. Open an object.
  2. Click the More icon on the General Object-Project Relation field.
  3. Click Remove relation.
  4. Click Remove when asked to confirm action.

Object-to-opportunity relationship is not included on the default Object dialog design.

  1. Open an object.
  2. Click Search icon on the General Object-Opportunity Relation field.
  3. Search or select an opportunity from the list and click Relate Opportunity.
  4. The selected opportunity name is populated on the General Object-Opportunity Relation field.

Deleting an object-to-opportunity relationship

  1. Open an object.
  2. Click the More icon on the General Object-Opportunity Relation field.
  3. Click Remove relation.
  4. Click Remove when asked to confirm action.
