Creating a standard quotation using an opportunity record

You must create an opportunity before you can create a quotation for an opportunity.

  1. Create or open an opportunity.
  2. If multiple quotations are configured, click Create Quote and select Standard Quote. Otherwise, click Create Standard Quote. Standard Quote is available when M3 bookmark - H5 and Field to use for quote number in M3 Mobility Core is defined.
  3. Specify this information:
    Sales Order Type
    Select from the list of sales order types. The initial value is set from the defined Quotation order type in M3 Mobility Core Toolbox.
    Facility
    Select from the list of facilities. The initial value is set from the user's facility set in M3, MNS150.
    Valid From
    Select the date when the quotation is created. The initial value is set to the current date.
    Valid To
    Select the date when the validity of the quote expires. The value is calculated with the defined Quotation validity in days in M3 Mobility Core Toolbox.
    Quote Reason
    Select from the list of reasons for creating this quote. The first value from the list is set as the default value.

    For user defined fields 1-4, values configured in M3 Mobility Core Toolbox are displayed. For user defined fields 5-6, the user must define the values.

    Follow Up 1 Activity

    Select the activity from the types of follow-up activity list for this quote. The initial value is set from the defined Follow up activity 1 in M3 Mobility Core Toolbox.

    Follow Up 1 Date
    Select the date that the first follow-up activity is made. The value is calculated with the defined Days before expiration date (Follow up activity 1) in M3 Mobility Core Toolbox.
    Follow Up 2 Activity

    Select the activity from the types of follow-up activity list for this quote. The initial value is set from the defined Follow up activity 2 in M3 Mobility Core Toolbox.

    Follow Up 2 Date
    Select the date that the second follow-up activity is made. The value is calculated with the defined Days before expiration date (Follow up activity 2) in M3 Mobility Core Toolbox.
  4. Click Create quote.M3 Customer Order.Open bookmark is displayed as a new tab in M3 CLM.
  5. Complete the transaction in this page. Defined Project Number and Project Element in M3 BE is displayed in M3 CLM.
  6. Follow-up activities and its corresponding quotation activities are created and displayed on the Activities tab of the opportunity record.

    The Opportunity Total shows the Quotation total depending on the quotation status that is configured by the system administrator.

    If configured, the specified field shows the Order total when the quotation record is changed to an order.
