Adding the document template to the IDM repository

  1. Launch the IDM client.
  2. Select Add Document > CLM_Document or CLM_DOC.
  3. Search for the MS Word document template or MS Excel template that you created.
  4. Specify this information:
    Name
    Specify the name of the template that is displayed on the list.
    CLM_Type
    Specify Template.
    CLM_ParentEntity
    Select the entity where this template is displayed. You can select from Account, Activity, Contact, Opportunity, or Others.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Check whether you have successfully added the document template.
    1. Open an entity and create a document.
    2. Select the template that you added.
    3. Check out the file.
    4. Open the file. The text fields are filled with data from the entity.
