Creating a standard quotation using an opportunity record

You must create an opportunity before you can create a quotation for an opportunity.

  1. Open an opportunity.
  2. Select Quotation > Create Standard Quote.
  3. Specify this information. These fields have default values that are based on the configuration in the M3 Mobility Core Toolbox
    Sales Order Type
    Select from the list of sales order types.
    Facility
    Select from the list of facilities.
    Valid From
    Select the date when the quotation is created.
    Valid Until
    Select the date when the validity of the quote expires.
    Reason
    Select from the list of reasons for creating this quote.
    First Follow Up Activity

    Select from the list of the type of follow-up activity for this quote.

    Date
    Select the date that the first follow-up activity is made.
    Second Follow Up Activity

    Select from the list of the types of follow-up activity for this quote.

    Date

    Select the date that the second follow-up activity are made.

    In user defined fields 1-4, values configured in M3 Mobility Core Toolbox are displayed. In user defined fields 5-6, the user must set values.

  4. Click Create. M3 Customer Order.Open bookmark is displayed as a new tab.
  5. Complete the transaction in this page. Optionally, M3 BE can populate the Project Number and Project Element and displays the values in M3 CLM. For configuration, contact your system administrator. Follow-up activities and its corresponding quotation activity are created and displayed on the Activities tab of the opportunity record.

    The Opportunity Total field shows the Quotation Total depending on the quotation status that is configured by the system administrator.

    If configured, the specified field shows the Order total when the Quotation record is changed to an order.
