Creating an after sales quotation using an activity record
You must create an activity before you can create a quotation for the activity.

Open an activity.
You can only create a quotation for a specific type of activity. This is set in the M3 Mobility Core Toolbox. Contact your system administrator if you do not know the activity type where after sales quotations are made.
- Select Quotation > Create After Sales Quote.

Specify this information. These fields have default values that
are based on the configuration in the M3 Mobility Core Toolbox
- Quotation Type
- Select from the list of quotation types.
- Facility
- Select from the list of facilities.
- Valid From
- Select the date when the quotation is created.
- Valid Until
- Select the date when the validity of the quote expires.
- Requested Delivery Date
- Select the date for the requested delivery date displayed in the quotation.
- Contacts
- Select no more than two contacts. The contacts that are defined here are the values of the Your Ref 1 and Your Ref 2 fields in the quotation. If no contact is associated, the default Your Ref 1 and Your Ref 2 of the account is used on the quotation.
- Sales Person
- Select a sales person from the list. This is the sales person who is responsible for the quotation.
- Forecast
- Select whether to set the value of the Total Price of the quotation to the value of the field that is set for the opportunity record.
- First Follow Up Activity

Select from the list of the type of follow-up activity for this quote.
- Date
- Select the date that the first follow-up activity is made.
- Second Follow Up Activity

Select from the list of the type of follow-up activity for this quote.
- Date

Select the date that the second follow-up activity is made in user defined fields 1-4, values configured in M3 Mobility Core Toolbox are displayed. In user defined fields 5-6, the user must set values.
- Click Create. A new page is displayed as a new tab.

Complete the transaction in this page. Optionally, M3 BE can
populate the Project Number and Project Element and displays the values in
M3 CLM. For configuration, contact your system
administrator. Follow-up activities are created. If activity record is
associated to an opportunity, see Associating an opportunity.
The opportunity record is displayed with these details:
- After Sales Quotation details are displayed on the Product Support Quotes tab of opportunity record.
- Quotation Total is displayed in the Opportunity Total field depending on the quotation status configured by the system administrator.
- If configured, the Order total is displayed in the specified field when the quotation record is changed to an order.
