Currency conversion

Currency conversion is performed in some models to provide a better analysis of monetary measures. Amounts are expressed in the transaction currency, division currency, and company currency. The amount in transaction currency should always be analyzed with the Currency dimension to avoid adding up amounts in different currencies. The division currency, on the other hand, has the transaction amount converted to the local currency of the division where the transaction was created. This measure should always be analyzed by filtering a specific division to avoid adding up amounts in different currencies. The company currency has the transaction amount converted to the local currency of the blank division.

The main source of the conversion rates is CCURRA. Ensure that conversion rates are updated for each division including the blank division for all applicable currencies to avoid incorrect values.
