The Rental Metrics by Equipment Class dashboard provides the metrics to measure the business' performance using the standards from the American Rental Association Rental Market Metrics. These standards serve as a common benchmark within similar rental businesses to compare a company's performance over time. The information presented in the dashboard is summarized and categorized per equipment class.

The data displayed in the Rental Metrics by Equipment Class dashboard is the aggregation of all equipment based on the Equipment Class attribute. Categorization of the Base Fleet Indicator is by Equipment Class level. The entire equipment class is part of the base fleet if at least one equipment in the equipment class is rented from both the current and previous periods being analyzed.

The dashboard provides these key value indicators:

• Time utilization to measure fleet efficiency based on the time that the equipment is on-rent and weighted OEC
• Financial utilization to measure the fleet's realized revenue based on the time that the equipment is on-rent and weighted OEC
• Fleet age to measure the fleet's average age in months since the fleet was put into service

The dashboard also provides these additional information in the analysis of rental rates, utilization, and yield:

• Rental rate percentage to measure the period over period percentage change in contract rental rates
• Revenue change percentage to measure the period over period percent change of realized revenue
• Yield percentage to measure the part of the revenue change that is associated with change in rates
