Financial Controller dashboard

The Financial Controller dashboard provides you with a quick view of key metrics to improve revenue and profit by facilitating sales and reducing financial risks. The dashboard can help you gain insights into payment behavior and the associated credit risk.

This dashboard can answer these business questions:
  • Which payers are worst performing in terms of payment?
  • Are there changes in payment behavior?
  • Is the payer a risk for future orders?

This is a role-specific dashboard for the financial controller, as preconfigured in the M3 Industry Process Catalog.

Reports and KPI

The dashboard contains these reports:
  • Operational Measures by Period
  • Risk Payers Ranked by Payment Days
  • Risk Payers Ranked by DSO Value (vs Previous Period)
  • Risk Payers Ranked by DSO Value (vs Last Year Period)
  • Risk Payers Ranked by Stopped Amt
  • Overdue Amount per Credit Manager

Risk Payers Ranked by DSO Value (vs Previous Period) is displayed in the dashboard as Risk Payers Ranked by DSO Value. You can view this report when the filter Period Comparison = Last Fiscal Period.

Risk Payers Ranked by DSO Value (vs Last Year Period) is displayed in the dashboard as Risk Payers Ranked by DSO Value. You can view this report when the filter Period Comparison = Fiscal Period Last Year.

The dashboard also has the High Risk Payers KPI with an indicator. A red arrow pointing upward indicates an increase based on a comparison from previous Fiscal Period value and a green arrow pointing downward indicate otherwise. If there is no change, a square indicator is displayed.

The High Risk Payers KPI uses DSO codes 2 and 5 which indicate high risk payers. This KPI uses the Accounting Period Date as the basis for analysis and the Sum aggregation.

Currency information is also displayed on the dashboard.

Filters

These standard filters are available:
  • Division (Config. 3)
  • Fiscal Period (Config. 1)
  • Customer (Config. 1)
  • Payer
  • Period Comparison
  • Last N Periods (Config. 1)
  • Show N Records

Division, Fiscal Period, Last N Periods, and Period Comparison are mandatory filters. This dashboard uses the Show N Records to filter the high risk payers records depending on their ranking category. The Last N Period controls the number of records displayed in the Operational Measures by Period report. With the Period Comparison filter, you can compare the Current Period to the Last Year Period or the Previous Period in the Risk Payers Ranked by DSO Value report.

Drill across

When you click the High Risk Payers KPI, you can drill across to the High Risk Payers dashboard.
